Anyone who has tried to kick a bad habit knows how difficult it can be. Even when we know something is bad or harmful, we still struggle to free ourselves from it instantly. You could probably identify reasons to stick with what's familiar or keep doing something as it has always been done. It made sense to do so in the past, and there are reasons why it makes sense to do so now. But you are one of two signs blessed to have Venus as your ruling planet. We've all received, in our time, a gift from somebody that we had no idea if we'd ever have a use for. So, we kept the gift, more out of courtesy than anything else. Then, further down the road, we discovered what we were given can be helpful or useful. That could be a situation you find yourself in now, especially where an opportunity presented to you not long ago is concerned. It may have appeared irrelevant back then. It seems to be worth looking more closely at now.

Here's an analogy for you. Let's pretend you're baking a cake. You get the cake's ingredients together perfectly and stick it in the oven. Heads and hearts need encouragement to work together properly. One can come up with one idea or strategy. The other can offer a very different message. Therein lies one of the main reasons why we feel so confused so often. But it's also interesting how we tend to ignore the need to trust what we feel. Despite what you might think, it's probably more important that you allow your feelings about a matter to have a louder voice now.

Are you expected to change your ways? If somebody thinks that you will simply do as you're told or willingly alter opinions or principles, then they don't know you very well, do they? If anything, you're aware of one or two individuals who need to 'get the point' about an important matter. Soon, this can happen. But in the meantime, don't believe you're the one in the wrong.

It's worth taking a moment to assess where you are now. By that, I don't mean physically. Somebody could witness your stubborn qualities in full force. But this could be something they end up grateful for because they're likely to benefit from your persistent stance or actions. The phrase 'calculated risk' sounds like an oxymoron. It could be argued that taking a calculated step in some way means that it's everything but risky. But then again, it can also mean that the element of risk has been weighed up properly and sensibly. 'Calculated' can ensure that risk as been kept to a minimum. You can trust that your assessment of a risk is accurate now.

'I wouldn't do that if I were you.' We've all said such words to others in the past and have had them said to us, too. The words imply that one person knows something the other doesn't. But what would you say to somebody considering taking the bold step you're considering? Would you discourage them? Or would you see the potential that exists for them to achieve something pleasing or heartwarming? The risk you're considering now probably isn't as risky as you think.

Although you would prefer to see circumstances in an area of your world realistically, part of you might be afraid to do so. That doesn't mean you're deceiving yourself.
