'I wouldn't do that if I were you.' We've all said such words to others in the past and have had them said to us, too. The words imply that one person knows something the other doesn't. But what would you say to somebody considering taking the bold step you're considering? Would you discourage them? Or would you see the potential that exists for them to achieve something pleasing or heartwarming? The risk you're considering now probably isn't as risky as you think.

If you might find it useful to say that opening line to a particular person, then feel free to do so. It probably sums up what you think about the way they avoid getting to the point or prefer to beat around the proverbial bush.
