Food Delights in Between Everything - Mitsuyado Sei-Men

This blog is not intended to provide a critique about the restaurants, service or the food. I just want to write about my dining experiences in tasting the food and drinks offered in the restaurants I visited. In places I visited and ate, from among the food and drinks that I tasted, those that captured my special attention and discerning taste will be featured in this blog. At the same time, I also rated my culinary experience as to my 'degree of enjoyment'.This blog is a continuation of my postings in my Facebook album entitled "Food Delights in Between Everything"

The Verdict (in addition to the ratings of selected food according to my 'degree of enjoyment' as presented above.)

Mitsuyado Seimen is located along Jupiter St., Bel-Air in Makati City.  For easier reference, the place is at the left side (if you are coming from Makati Avenue) or right side (if you are from EDSA) of the road segment between Paseo de Roxas to EDSA.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was stunned to see a resemblance of an old Japanese street.  The interior is dimly lit complete with stationary noodle food cart, bicycle hanging on the wall, sliding steel gate and lanterns.
For a while, I really felt I was in old Tokyo having a dinner date with "Hitokiri Battōsai" (人斬り抜刀斎).  The ambiance will definitely bring you back in time… but suddenly my moment was jolted into the present time when our orders were served.
This Japanese Restaurant offers tsukemen, the acknowledged cousin of ramen.  Compared with ramen, it is thicker, usually served cold, and the way to eat it is also different.
And how to eat it?  Simply grab a small bunch of noodle maybe 3 to 4 strands with the chopsticks, dip it in the soup and then gulp!  It is not advisable to let the noodles stay at the soup longer since it will turn soggy…just a dip of the whole strand of noodles will do …
