Food Delights in Between Everything - 2nd's Restaurant

This blog is not intended to provide a critique about the restaurants, service or the food. I just want to write about my dining experiences in tasting the food and drinks offered in the restaurants I visited. In places I visited and ate, from among the food and drinks that I tasted, those that captured my special attention and discerning taste will be featured in this blog. At the same time, I also rated my culinary experience as to my 'degree of enjoyment'.This blog is a continuation of my postings in my Facebook album entitled "Food Delights in Between Everything"

The Restaurant

The Chosen Ones
(from among the food ordered and tasted)

Brisket Lasagna Bolognese
(USDA beef brisket, bolognese sauce, shaved Parmesan, roasted garlic, pesto ricotta)

Spinach and Black Truffle Dip
(creamed spinach, black truffle paste, Irish cheddar, sourdough chips, shrimp sauteed in olive oil and garlic)

2nd’s Bistek Tagalog
(USDA Prime flat iron steak, grilled tomato, soy, calamansi, butter sauce, aligue and corn rice pilaf)

Frozen Hazelnut Cheesecake
(Nutella and cream cheese mousse with a hazelnut graham crust topped with a Ferrero Rocher. Served with Frangelico caramel.)
The Verdict (in addition to the ratings of selected food according to my 'degree of enjoyment' as presented above.)
The restaurant is situated in a rather busy street in Bonifacio Global City. But finding it is rather tricky. It’s easy to miss it since the sign is not that visible from the street. It is located on the second floor of the building, accessible through an elevator or a small staircase.
Stepping into just outside of its doorway, you will be meet with a big wooden door with a small window that allows you to peek inside before entering. Once inside, you’ll immediately notice the simple and cool design, high ceiling and widely spaced tables for privacy.
I am at a loss for words to describe this restaurant. It is a unique place – welcoming/inviting, cozy, relaxing, conducive, not crowded or noisy. The staff is accommodating and goes out of the way to make our dining experience memorable. The service is impeccable; they know exactly what to do even without asking. It is a wonderful place to have a quiet lunch, dinner or to unwind and enjoy Filipino comfort food with a twist.
2nd’s resembles a library or a den with dark wooden and big leather furniture. It reminds me of my favorite nook in a library which served as my hideaway when I needed to do assignments or read a book.
