Today's Inspiration: When the Bad Guy Gets Promoted
Guideline 1: Remember, the Bible stresses the ultimate, not always immediate, triumph of right in an evil world.
Guideline 2: Know that evil produces evil. Treat the evil person as he treats you, and you will have succumbed to the very thing you detest.
Guideline 3: Realize that the final test is not who gets the promotion but who gets God's nod of approval.
Guideline 4: Hold on to what you know is right. Rest on the promises of a Sovereign God and wait patiently for the final outcome.

I received a letter from a woman whose husband was promoted to sales manager in his company after seventeen years of hard work. Then, very suddenly an without cause, the man was demoted and made a salesman - the same position he had when he started. "Why does God answer with loss rather than gain? You may want to consider sugarcoating the truth when it comes to an upcoming conversation with a friend or a co-worker. This person may come to you for guidance, or you may be put in a position where you are expected to offer it. Either way, it may seem like the ideal situation to reveal something that has been bothering you. But your agitation or frustration could be so pent up by now that you may be a bit rough in your expression. Think ahead about what you want to say, and then say it with grace and compassion.
