Today's Inspiration: The Power of Time
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes..... James 4:14
What can bring down empires, humble the mightiest of men, crumble a craggy granite peak, and, yet has the power to heal a wound and change a life? Described as the greatest power on earth, that force is time.
There are many inequalities in life. But when it comes to time, everybody gets the exact same allotment: twenty-four hours a day, no more no less.
Every morning you are credited with 186,400 seconds, it's up to you to use or lose it. At the end of the day, whatever you haven't used is lost forever. The fragile fleeting nature of time led Moses to pray: "Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom".
How have you used the time God has given you? He has given each of us a measure of time, and when we are done, He will ask us to account for how we utilized it.
