Today's Inspiration: Faith's Foundation

Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ..... Romans 10:17 

At the end of World War II, one of the Nazi concentration camps, some Allied soldiers found a Star of David carved into a wall with these words beneath it: "I believe in the sun - even when it is not shown. I believe in God - even when He does not speak."

How can we have that kind of faith? First, we must realize that faith is necessary no matter how dark the hour. Second, our faith must be simple. Jesus used the illustration of the simplicity of a child's faith to help His disciples understand the faith. Third, we must believe in the power of God. Our faith is only as valid as its object, and the object of our faith is God and His limitless power. Fourth, we must wait for the reward of faith. Some say that God no longer does the miraculous ever happens. But for those who simply trust God, it is amazing what happens.
Faith does makes a difference.

You could easily encounter some very gloomy people this weekend who will offer up tales of doom and gloom. Being an impressionable Taurus, you might take this as a sign, or you could find that your own mood begins to darken and become gloomy and cynical. But if you are dealing with purveyors of fear and pessimism, then you are dealing with the wrong people. Not only are they a drain on your good energy, they are absolutely and completely wrong.
