I am a first time Mom to a two year old active (most times, hyperactive) baby girl. Dealing with a child for the first time in my life, I am still experiencing and learning a lot than I have ever imagined. A toddler is beautiful, complicated, complex and everything all at once.
My child, even in her early age, is very good with words and is very expressive with her speech and gestures. She conveys her feelings and observations very well. One particular night, I was in a way amused and somewhat scared of her reaction. She would not stop crying over something I do not know about. She was really weeping as if mourning for something or someone. I had a very hard time comforting her and at a point I was even worried that perhaps something was wrong. Indeed something was wrong but not as I expected… I was still confused by her “crying episode” that was very much intense than the usual only to find out that my dearest Aunt, who happened to be so fond of her, just died. She was just confined in her home next to us in an almost comatose stage. After learning this, I was the one who ended up crying. She was there my baby, watching me weep for my beloved Aunt who just left us… When to my surprise, she uttered “It’s okay Mimi” (our term for Mom). It was very consoling, amusing, and in a way scary too. That moment was indeed a mixture of emotions. From fear, sadness, amusement… It was an emotional moment I will surely remember. Moments like that makes me wonder and somewhat believe that children know a lot more than we might think, perhaps than what we actually do… Impossible but it happened to me! |

Children's can see and experience extraordinary things that many adults cannot.

Children are often said to be more sensitive, or open, to psychic and paranormal experiences.
