Maya, the protagonist is in an abnormal state, suffering also from PTSD. She is a combat veteran with her own deep secrets and deceit in her own past. Before she can face the unbelievable truth about her husband as well as herself, she has to come into terms with her past.
I never expected the ending. While reading the book, I was trying to solve the crime myself pinpointing who the guilty person. I was not able to predict the ending. Although I don’t agree with how the book ended (partly because I am a mother and I will hate leaving a daughter behind), pondering on the story, I realize that it’s the only logical ending.
If you are looking for a book with lots of twists, turns and secrets… this is a book for you!
