Be Still and Know

                                                    Be still, and know that I am God. - - -

Psalm 46:10 KJV

Be still and know….. “ In other words, “Be still - stop your running to and fro - slow down long enough to hear My voice.  And know - learn personally and experientially - that I am God.”  There’s so much God would like to reveal to you if only you would slow down long enough to hear His voice.
So many times our relationship with God is need-centered, rather than God-centered.  We are so overwhelmed by our earthly desires that all we think of is, “God, I want You to do this for me, and I want it now.”
Have we been so consumed with our wants, needs and own little worlds that we fail to explore the depths of God’s Word and discover what He is like?  Discover in the Bible what God tells us about Himslef.  Take note of His characteristics and learn to wait quietly on Him.  Next, discover what God is like by studying the life of Jesus in one of the first four books of the New Testament.
When you begin to grasp something of His true greatness, you will be truly amazed!

@ Today Can Be Different

You always pick up the slack, Taurus. When there is something to be done, you do it. Even when it isn't your responsibility, you pitch in to get the job done. You are generous to a fault in that way. Sometimes, though, you go so far that you exhaust yourself. And, at times, you fail to see that the situation you've taken on isn't really fair to you. If you can relax now and then without always feeling you have to rush to the rescue of friends and loved ones, maybe other people will begin taking greater responsibility for themselves. Take some time for yourself now, and give yourself a much-needed break.
