Happiness that Money Can't Buy

Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you are upright in heart! - - - Psalm 32:11

Happiness, as most define it, is the world's counterfeit of Christian joy.  Joy transcends happiness that is based on possessions and circumstances.  But does this mean that godly people cannot be happy or that happy people cannot be spiritual?
Real happiness is a by-product of joy; something that flows like a bubbling spring from the reservoir of joy in the heart.   This happiness comes from within.  Its source is joy, not material gain.  This was the kind of joy that Jesus had in His ministry on earth, not that which the world seeks.  This kind of happiness is not a goal; it is something you discover while doing the will of God in your life.
If you really want happiness, don't search for it.  You'll find it as you make God's will your goal in life.  The God-dimension brings joy and its by-product, happiness.  Only the children of God can fully know or understand this.  Joy comes from knowing that God, not circumstances, control your life.  This is the only kind of happiness that endures, and this money cannot buy.

@Today Can Be the Best Day of Your Life

When you learn to ride a bike, you don't really master it until you begin gaining momentum and moving fast. Ironically, it is harder to move slowly, and yet a newcomer to bicycling is fearful of moving fast. When you're moving at a snail's pace, it may seem like more of a struggle. It's harder to stay upright when you're pedaling with all your might but haven't yet achieved the balance that's required. You are about to start moving faster at something you've been practicing. Don't worry, Taurus, once you get going you'll lose your fear, your skills and talent will kick in and it will start flowing much easier overall.
