Today's Inspiration: Our Daily Bread
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you....
Matthew 7:7
One of the things which Jesus said we should pray for is "our daily bread." To most people today, nothing is more basic to survival than bread or rice. The vast majority of the people in our world are just one meal away from hunger. Thus a plea for daily bread is a cry for sustenance and basic survival.
In teaching this, Jesus made us understand that the basic necessities of life are not a matter of indifference to our heavenly Father. But if God is so concerned, why doesn't He just automatically give us everything we need? Part of the reason is that we may know the answer has come from His hand. Jesus said, "Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him" (Matthew 6:8), yet He also said, "Ask and you will receive and your joy will be complete" (John 16:24).
Begin today with those beautiful words, "our Father in Heaven" and pour out your heart. It's OK to ask Him for the simple things that you need. That's what prayer is about.

Today's Stars
The adage that there are "three sides to every story - his, hers, and the truth" may apply to your situation today, Taurus. You could find yourself caught in the middle between two warring parties, and they may both be friends. This could cause you a rather awkward predicament, especially if you favor or believe one over the other. Even worse, you may not believe either of them. The best way to deal with such a situation is to steer clear of it. You may think you can make sense of it, but you are better off waiting for the whole thing to blow over.
