LEDO - Live Everyday Die Once

LEDO is a journal of my extraordinary experiences...... to remind me that each new day is a chance to explore new things, to enjoy life, and to thank God! I always believe that we live everyday and we die once!

Today's Inspiration: Lord, Teach Us to Pray
Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples....
Luke 11:1 NKJV
In public, Jesus' prayers were short; in private, long. Our prayers tend to be the opposite - lengthy when we wish to impress people but very short or non-existent in the privacy of our homes or bedrooms. We need to learn to pray to develop the kind of relationship Jesus enjoyed with His Father.
Let's look at the first phrase of the Lord's Prayer, Our Father. Notice the possessive pronoun Our. At least 75 times Jesus used the term My, saying, "My Father." But in praying "Our Father", Jesus reminded the disciples that God is the Father of all who have come to peace with His Son through His blood on the Cross.
When we address God as Our Father in our prayers, we are in the company of brothers and sisters all over the world.
Notice, too, the selflessness in this term Our. Not I, not me, or my ... but Our Father. The Church of Jesus Christ crosses cultures, prejudices, languages, and barriers. No nation in the world is devoid of those who name the name of Jesus Christ and pray to the Almighty as Sovereign Lord and God.

Today's Stars
Someone close to you may claim to want your opinion, to the point of begging you for feedback and advice. But what this person might really be after is praise and approval. If that isn't something you can provide, though, you may want to reply with a vague answer. Something along the lines of "I appreciate your passion for what you're doing - that's great." Or "I'm humbled that you care what I think, and I think you're very special." You can be nice without telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth, Taurus.
