Series 13: "The List" #3 - Thirty Crazy Things I Would Love To Do

This is the 13th series of the guessing game I posted in twitter and facebook.  For a backgrounder, please refer to my post entitled "Series 1: The List #3 - Thirty Crazy Things I Would Love To Do" dated 1/29/2012.
#14 Crazy Thing I Would Love To Do
 “SNAKE TATTOO ON MY NAPE”
Tattooing is an ancient practice that can be traced thousands years ago. Mummies found in relics have markings in different parts of their bodies. It is believed that tattoos have been used by different cultures in the past as a way of identification. Members of a tribe wore inked symbols primarily to mark their status.
Before 1980s, tattoos were not yet socially accepted. It was considered low class and vulgar. People, during those times wore tattoos with unique design that would describe their affiliation to a particular group. It was a visible design used so they could recognize each other.
It was in the early part of the 1980s that tattoos had become a part of fashion trends. Tattoo was an iconic symbol of 1980s in conjunction with the “teenage mutant ninja turtles”, Scooby Doo, Madonna, and Bon Jovi. It was in this era that the art of tattooing was considered as a fine art, and become a part of the mainstream culture, accepted by any gender and background.
As of today, tattooing is a common and widespread practice. Undeniably, more and more famous celebrities are having tattoos in their bodies. Based on my research, a partial list of these popular actors and actresses are as follows:
    • Angelina Jolie (at least 12 tattoos as of last count)
    • Megan Fox (8 tattoos)
    • Britney Spears (9 tattoos)
    • Drew Barrymore (7 tattoos)
    • Justin Timberlake (6 tattoos)
    • Johnny Depp (5 tattoos)
    • Robie Williams (14 tattoos)
My tattoo idea was more of a fashion statement. I remember that most of my friends had tattoos being a member of a specific group. I wanted to be one of them, so I’d liked also to have a tattoo. However, I was fortunate that my best friend pleaded with me not to be a member of their group, and I was spared of the tattoo.
As of today, because of its popularity and acceptability, I still have this crazy idea of getting a tattoo. I wanted the image of a snake on my nape with its head peering on the side of my neck towards the front. Snake is a versatile animal and has many symbolic values.
It was a belief in Greek traditions that knowledge, power and protection came from the moon and the goddess who ruled it, through her chosen animal, the snake. The “Kundalini Yoga” reveres the snake for its flexibility, which believes that there is a coil of spiritual energy in the body that resembles a snake, and freeing this inner snake leads to enlightenment.
As of now, I haven't decided yet which of these snake designs I would choose for my tattoo. Please help me in deciding which one is the best for me by choosing the letter. Please write your chosen letter in the comment section.
