Interesting To Know: All About Chocolates (Part 2)

Bits and Tidbits about Chocolates

Milk Chocolate = cocoa liquor + cocoa butter + sugar + milk powder
White Chocolate = cocoa butter + sugar + milk powder
Dark Chocolate = cocoa liquor + cocoa butter + sugar

Life is like chocolate, it’s the bitterness that makes you appreciate the sweetness.

Chocolate’s versatility makes the world a wonderful place to live in.  You eat chocolate when you are happy, the more you need it when you are sad.

Chocolate, like water, is a “universal solvent” of one’s worries and anxieties.

Chocolate, like prayers is a good kick-off for a day.

Chocolate is irresistible in any form. It has the power to create a smile in one’s face.

Chocolate comes from cocoa beans which are grown in tropical countries like the Philippines.

Aztecs used cocoa bean as a form of currency, which 10 cocoa beans would buy you a rabbit, 100 beans would buy you a slave.

Cocoa beans were still used as currency in parts of Latin until the 19th century.

Chocolate comes from the Aztec word Xocolati- bitter water.

Cacao tree is from GENUS THEOBRAMA – Food for the Gods.

Chocolate is poisonous for small animals due to theobromine that is a stimulant found in chocolate.

Cocoa flavonoids might have a stronger anti-oxidant effect compared to red wine.

There are treasury vitamins and minerals that can be obtained in chocolate – A, B, D, E, copper, magnesium, iron, phosphorus and calcium.

If you’ve got melted chocolate all over your hands, you’re eating it too slowly.

Myths About Chocolate

Series 8: "The List" #3 - Thirty Crazy Things I Would Love To Do

The Tale of the Guesses of the "Crazy Things"

This is the 8th series of the guessing game I posted in twitter and facebook.  For a backgrounder, please refer to my post entitled "Series 1: The List #3 - Thirty Crazy Things I Would Love To Do" dated 1/29/2012.

#9 Crazy Thing I Would Love To Do
“COLLECT BITS AND PIECES OF MY SPECIAL ONE”

My #9 crazy thought relates to my #8.  This one I think is not crazy, but a weird idea.

Sometimes, there are things that I just want to do, but beyond reasons. When asked the question “why do you want to do it?”  My reply would be in vernacular, “wala lang, hindi ko alam - gusto ko lang talagang gawin”.  In English, ‘nothing, I don’t know – I just want to do it”. This #9 craziness/weirdness falls under this  category.

While under the influence of a mystical spell, I was obsessed with the idea of collecting anything and everything relating to my Special One.  Most of you would think that this was supposedly easy… better think twice or even more!  Well, it depends on what to collect and how it is to be collected.  Anyway, the challenge that I imposed on myself was to collect those morsels without him knowing or noticing it. Some of the items on my list can be collected easily, but some would be difficult or even impossible considering what method to use without him noticing it.

Even today, those rated difficult or impossible, I still don’t have any idea on how to collect them.  Perhaps, some of you could device a method on how to undertake the mission.  Please lend me your thoughts and share in the COMMENT SECTION your ideas or email me directly at merlinagp@gmail.com.
