Yesterday, I wrote about the Ms. Universe Crown.  And I asked myself, ‘Is it the Crown only that draws contestants of the pageant?’.  Of course, aside from being considered as the most beautiful woman on the universe, there must be more.  I decided to searched for more.  

I found out that the 2015 prize package of the reigning Ms. Universe, Pia Wurtzbach includes the following:

1. A year-long salary as Miss Universe
2. Luxury accommodations in a New York City apartment for the duration of her reign including living expenses
3. A one-year scholarship from the New York Film Academy College of Visual Performing Arts
4.  A one-year supply of haircare products and tools from CHI Haircare
5. A new custom diamond tiara and jewelry designed by Diamonds International Corp. (DIC)
6. A shoe wardrobe from Chinese Laundry Shoes; swimwear by Yamamay
7. A year’s worth of skincare products from Image Skincare

My Verdict:  Forget the Crown and all other Prizes, I am only interested in #13!  I realized after reading the news that the best/fastest way to make my dream come true (to travel around the world) is that I should win the Ms. Universe Pageant!!!

Miss Universe Crown

While reading the news this morning, I stumbled upon an article which caught my attention.  I became curious to know the value of the Crown and what made it so special, aside from being worn by the reigning Ms. Universe.

And, whooah!  The crown, according to the Ms. Universe Organization has an estimated value of $300,000 or roughly P14.32 million.  Oh, that's a lot of money!

A symbol of women's beauty and power, the Crown weighs 411 grams or almost 1/2 kilo.  It is made-up of the following:

• 311 small polished diamonds, weighing a total of 10.37 karats
• Symbolizing strength and loyalty, it has five large blue topaz stones, weighing 18.6 karats each
• 198 dark blue sapphire stones weighing 18.6 karats each represent faith and wisdom.
• What makes the crown shine brighter are the 33 natural, translucent and colorless Bohemian crystals which were cut, polished and metalized to enhance light reflection

The case of the crown is made from the highest quality Italian leather, while the base is an 18-karat white gold strip weighing 220 grams.  

The design of the crown reflects the skyline of New York City, home to the Miss Universe Organization.
