Award acceptance speeches can be painfully dull. Of course, there's nothing wrong with somebody acknowledging others who worked just as hard as the recipient of the award to make something a success. But where you've achieved or are about to achieve success in an area of your world, there's nothing selfish about acknowledging and accepting how integral you were to bringing it. Just make sure your name is at the top of the list of people who you believe need a pat on the back.

When we were younger and told to do various chores or something that didn't inspire us one iota, we genuinely struggled to find the energy needed. But if we saw a load of bicycles outside somebody's house up the street, we were there in a shot and could always find the energy needed for whatever was going on. We can be very selective about where we apply energy. You're right to focus yours on what truly inspires you now. You can afford to be a bit fussy.
