Stubbornness isn't always a negative trait. Think of all the fantastic people throughout history who stuck to their values and principles. They not only achieved spectacular results but gained respect and admiration forever. Being deliberately contrary is one thing. Standing up for what you believe in is another. It's the way you do the latter now that probably won't go unnoticed - or unadmired.
