My ‘Out-of-this-World’ Experience - Season 2

HOUSEKEEPERS

Dogs are known as “taga-bantay” (guard/protector) for they manage to keep our homes safe from robbers and other suspicious people.  They just bark or howl to warn us and to fright ill-intentioned people away.  But have you heard about the non-vocal keepers?

This was my friend’s experience about, what I thought to be, some creepy “keepers” of their house.  Keepers that are rarely seen and not believed by all the family members.  Here’s her story:

I really don't believe in ghosts.  But this time, it seems that I was wrong.  They are real and they can do whatever they can just to freak you out or just to make you feel that they still have a place in this world even if they are already dead.

It was 10 o’clock in the evening when our family got home from our grandparent's house.  My auntie was very shocked when she saw us opening the gate and coming inside our house and so we asked her why.  "I thought you guys were eating dinner inside!  I heard a while ago the rustling of spoons and forks…  It was like you were really eating and talking.” My auntie was so scared while telling us.

We also got scared that time but that was not the first time we have encountered things like that.  There was also a time when my sister and I took a selfie picture in our garage.  It was painted white, and what really crept us out was that there are two other girls also in the picture.  It looked like a face of white casted on the wall.  And when we told our auntie about it, she said that they also encountered these two little girls before.  

To think, it may not always be hallucinations or imaginations.  Some happenings just can’t hardly be explained.  I believe, there are various creepy stories about those “mga taga-bantay” of our houses.  Living together with them, the unseen, may be creepy, but what’s most important is that they aren’t hurting anyone in the family.  Have already met your home’s “taga-bantay”?  May God bless our homes…
