My ‘Out-of-this-World’ Experience - Season 2

It happened just last year, I remember it was about 9PM that night on a holy week when me and my girlfriend were going on a road trip to Antipolo Church on my motorcycle.  On our way, in an unlikely reason, we accidentally wandered into a dark road. 

At first, I thought of just going back but I was forced to go straight ahead the driveway.  But of course, I was nervous because it was so dark and the only light on the way was the headlight of my motorcycle.  Also feeling scared, my girlfriend told me to go back the other way because it seems like it was a very dangerous road.  So along the way, I was nervous as hell because I felt like we’ve been passing through the same place like we’re just going back and forth.  And so we decided to try another way…

On the dark side of the road, we stopped shortly and quickly removed our clothes and wore it again upside down.  We remembered the old saying and belief that if you happen to be lost in the same place, going back and forth towards the same direction or cycle, some negative “elements” might be playing around with you.  And it is also believed that the only solution was to take the shirt worn and then wear it again inside-out and then after will you be quickly be back on your way.

Not far, we saw a house built like a nipa hut and saw an old man sitting next to a tree so we stopped over and ask the old man if there was any way out of such road.  He answered that it was just straight ahead so we thanked him and headed straight right were the old man pointed us.

First, we saw a tricycle headed the same way.  I was a little startled because I don’t have any idea as to where it came from.  We didn’t even hear it coming!  It just like popped out of nowhere right on our side.  Quickly looking at them there was a woman on the back ride of the trike and there was another person and a lot of other things inside.  But I couldn’t clearly see them from the dark and if they were also looking at us.

I was so worried and my girlfriend seems to be really scared but then I tried to stay calm.  A few minutes of driving, my eyes shuttered, and then I startled again… It was more like in a literal blink of an eye, the tricycle beside us was gone and suddenly a white car shows up in front of us.

I told my girlfriend to hold on tight because I was about to overtake fast.  Passing by through the car, my girlfriend and I looked back but to our horror, the white car was already gone and we have no idea where it went!  But then again, what I saw was the car’s headlights flashing through my side mirror.  I told my girlfriend to take a second look and look for the car behind but she did assure that there was no sign of the white car or any other car right behind us.  I kept on driving and along the way, we passed by an old hospital and the headlights to my side mirror was gone.  I was completely terrified.

We just prayed during those time, me and my girlfriend were so frightened we really don’t know what was actually happening.  It was so dark that even the street signs are hard to see and it was also hard to see the roadway.  My arms felt so heavy and tired and I feel like I was having a fever.

Not so far ahead, we saw a red and blue lights on the road and noticed a person waving a flashlight towards us.  That was the only time I felt relieved that there was a checkpoint.  I wasn’t worried at all and I’m glad I have all my documents with me. So, when we stopped right there, my girlfriend quickly got off the motorcycle and then I took my license and registration.

When the police officer asked for my registration, I noticed him gazing from my back and far from the roadway and then he said “You have a violation.” and when I heard it that I began to worry.  I asked him what I violated when I have my registration and my license with me and we were both wearing our helmets.  He answered, “You do know that “three” of you in a motorcycle is not a good idea, and a child without helmet and not even wearing any clothes and sitting at your back is very dangerous, especially when you’re in this road!”.

Suddenly shocked of what the officer told us, me and my girlfriend looked at each other terrified and then I said “But Sir that’s very impossible because there is just the two of us and why would I let a child sit at the back without wearing anything else?!”.  The police officer suddenly stood confused and silently seemed to be looking around, when he returned my license and registration he said “It looks like you’ve been played… I saw a child riding with you a while ago but now it’s gone. You guys should go to the church before you go home and don’t ever go back to this road again”.  After what he said to us, we told the police officer what kind of weird things we had experienced along the way and that’s how we learned that many people also claimed to have been played on the same road that we also took.  So after a few more conversations, we continued to ride our way to the church of Antipolo.

When we got there, outside of the church, an old woman selling rosary approached me.  We bought one of her rosaries then she whispered into my ear and got frightened of what she told me… “Leave him here!  Pray and don’t ever let him come with you again”.  Terrified, we hurriedly went inside the church and prayed.

I didn’t want to take everything so seriously but we did pray and thanked God that we were safe and also prayed to keep us safe when we head our way back home and thank God, we did.  So after that road trip, we both got sick, I even dreamt about the weird things we experienced back then so when I woke up I prayed it will never happen to me again…  Impossible but it happened to me!
