Thud Thud Thud

It happened on a Holy Week years ago when all my family (except for me) left the house. They were going to Cavite for a week to visit my Auntie living there. I was the one who stayed at home to feed our dogs and cats because nobody else would want to. For me, it’s quite fun and is equivalent to freedom because nobody is around to tell me what to do. It felt like I’m a king or the king for that week. The first days and nights passed by quickly… Everything felt smooth and easy. In fact, I even invited my friends to watch movies all day long.
Then one night, around nine in the evening while I was watching T.V., I suddenly I heard a loud “thud” on our roof but I didn’t pay much attention to it. I just thought that maybe something like a fruit or some branch of a tree fell. But then, to my surprise, I heard it again. This time, continuously, like someone is walking on the roof. I checked on our dog, but when I looked, he is sleeping soundly on our front door. And so, I decided to check the roof myself but I saw nothing around to produce such sound. Night after night for the rest of that week, the “thuds” continued. My curiosity then turned into fear because every passing night, it happens more frequent and louder. And I suddenly remembered that that day was “Good Friday” where evil spirit grew more stronger as it is said and believed. That time the only way I sought to lessen my fear is to go to my friend’s house and go back home after an hour.
After that Holy Week, such incident it never happened again. Even today, I still don’t know why or how did it happened? It’s seems Impossible but it happened to me!

The story of Chris entitled “Thud thud thud” can be some kind of prank. A similar prank was done to me by my friend which I dealt with Scarenore tactic. Scarenore is when the prankster tried to scare the victim but the victim will just ignore him/her. When my firend Pedro tried to pull a prank on me by making a Thud thud thud sound, I simply jack up my earphone and just listen to my music. This made hime waste his time and make the joke is on him. So, my advice to my co-worker is to use the scarenore. And surely the prankster will be failed and will simply walk away.
You might be wrong Sir,I think it’s a group of our flying friends up there since day one. Some big bats flew around your house and perch in fruitful Talisay trees. And night after night the sounds continues due to the Talisay fruits that were continually falling off the trees. Until Friday night comes, that you heard that frequent and loud thuds, those big bats even invited their fellas for food, for more fruits. They picking and biting until all the fruits were gone and none were left. After that, they went to another place for food and did not bother to come back on Saturday.
