You could be focusing intently on what you believe to be weaknesses and doing so is only magnifying them. It's possible you're your own harshest critic, trying to identify your faults before someone else picks up on them. This is unlikely to diminish of its own accord and is at risk of getting worse if you don't accept you're not being monitored as closely as you believe you are. Just because praise isn't forthcoming presently doesn't mean it won't be shortly.

Your greatest enemy where progress is concerned is fear, especially any fear connected with the past that you're still willing to believe has something important to take notice of.
