Food Delights in Between Everything - XO 46

This blog is not intended to provide a critique about the restaurants, service or the food. I just want to write about my dining experiences in tasting the food and drinks offered in the restaurants I visited. In places I visited and ate, from among the food and drinks that I tasted, those that captured my special attention and discerning taste will be featured in this blog. At the same time, I also rated my culinary experience as to my 'degree of enjoyment'.This blog is a continuation of my postings in my Facebook album entitled "Food Delights in Between Everything"!

In English!?  Cannot name the dish in Tagalog? .... as in "Bawang Kanin" or "Bawang sa Kanin" or "Kanin na may Bawang" or "Binawangang Kanin"? 

The Verdict 
(in addition to the ratings of selected food according to my 'degree of enjoyment' as presented above.)

What’s in the name?  Well, the XO stands for “extraordinary” to describe the dishes being served at the restaurant, while “46” is the year the Americans left the Philippines (July 4, 1946).  While the restaurant has several branches in Metro Manila, we tried the one located in the newest mall in Makati, the Century City Mall.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by Tagalog speaking waitress complete with Filipiniana costume.  It’s refreshing and enjoyable to hear “Magandang Hapon, mga Senyorito at Senyorita!  Ako po ang inyong tagapagsilbi.”  Also, the dishes’ names are in Tagalog.
Food is authentic Filipino dishes; inspired from several regional delicacies throughout the country.  Service is excellent.  Ambience is good.
Dining in this restaurant brings back the memory of being served good food in your home in the province.
