My ‘Out-of-this-World’ Experience No. 3

Experience No. 3: The Wallpaper

Ever since I was a child, there are unusual occurrences that I had experienced.  As I went along my childhood, I saw some unusual faces (not human), shadows, and weird entities. Some of these experiences caused me and my brothers unusual sicknesses up to the point of having it every week.  As time went by, I tried to ignore these events and sometimes just laugh about it, especially when it comes to the idea of doppelgangers.  Thanks to this blog event, I will be able to share some of my stories.

This phenomenon occurred last 2012, my first year of service in the organization.  Just like any other office building which has its own tales of horror and unusual happenings, the old building where I work also have several entities such as SSD’s Typist, the two child at MIS and the Man at the CR.  If you’re not familiar with this, please go ask Robert… his eyes are surely to open wide.  Anyway, back to my story… This happened during the formulation of the Makati City Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), when we were asked to stay overnight at the office during the preparation of the draft. 

When I woke up, I checked my phone if there are any messages or phone calls but I was surprised to see the wallpaper of my phone was suddenly changed into a woman on her mid-30s, with skinny fair skin, and black hair,  The background of the picture was quite the same as to our office arrangement and she looks like she is staring at something.  I checked the gallery of my phone to see if there was an image file the same as that wallpaper but I can’t find it so I looked again at the wallpaper.  I was wondering because it somehow looks like a selfie but I noticed that the left side of her hair is short and looks just like Claudine Barretto’s hair in a movie that I cannot recognized the title.  I also noticed that her neck has violet veins and in that moment I had a theory on my mind that the woman is not alive.

That theory became stronger when I saw Mark sleeping on the sofa.  I thought he pranked me, but when I asked him if he changed the wallpaper of my phone, he replied “Eh may password ‘yang cellphone mo... Paano ko ‘yan ma-aaacess?”(1)  After the conversation with Mark,  I showed it to Sir June asking if he recognizes the woman and he answered no .  Then I went to Nanay Letty and she replied “Hindi ko kilala ‘yan.  Tanong mo ‘kila Ma’am Merl… Baka sila kilala nila… Sakto nag-aalmusal sila doon sa conference room”.(2)   When I asked them if they know who that woman is, MGP replied “Wala akong naaalalang ganitong mukha… Naku ang creepy naman”.  (3) 

We tried to check the CCTV if someone mischievously touched my phone but the video footage only showed how I explored the whole floor by rolling while sleeping.  Then I handed over my phone to MGP for her to inspect it but she also didn’t saw the wallpaper file.  She then tried to change the wallpaper but the woman’s picture was gone when she looked again.

Up until now, whenever I looked at the stockroom’s door I still remember that event. Believe it or not, it happened… Impossible but it happened to me.

English Translation:

(1) Your cellphone has password.  How can I access it?

(2) I don't know her.  Ask Ma'am Merl.... perhaps they know her.... At that time, they are having breakfast at the conference room.

(3) I can't remember a person with that face.... that's creepy.
