You may have expressed a desire to obtain something you want to a special friend or family member. This person is good at heart, but may tend to be a bit preachy at times. Because you are rather modest and private most of the time, this person may not realize how hard you have tried and how consistent you have been in reaching for your dream. If you are approached with criticism for not doing more, just recognize internally that you are already doing all that you can. Take this in the spirit of support, because that's how it's intended.
