A person who is running a restaurant has to keep very strict records of what his customers are ordering. He has to know how much coffee to order, how many eggs he will need, how many napkins to purchase for each day, and so on. Ordering too much of something could result in waste and lost income. Ordering too few of something could result in displeased customers, which certainly wouldn't be good for business. Your life in general must be accounted for in a similar way.
