God Works the Night Shift
God called the light “day” and the darkness He called “night.” - - - Genesis 1:5

Have you ever worked the night shift?  Getting used to the schedule isn’t much fun.  Everything is different: eating dinner at breakfast time, going to bed when everyone else is getting up, sleeping when others are working or playing.  The darkness of the night shift, it’s quieter, it’s lonelier, and it’s longer.  Sixty minutes at night can seem as long as entire afternoon with daylight.  Not everyone can take the night shift.  For most of us, the night shift is too lonely, too dark.
Question: Does God work the night shift?  In his book titled “God Works the Night Shift”, pastor Ron Mehl says that he often hear the voice of God speaking to us in the quietness of the night.
The absence of sunshine is not all that makes for darkness in our lives; it is also the difficulties, the suffering, the results of our stupid mistakes, the losses we sustain.  But in the darkness of our lives, we hear God’s voice bringing comfort, encouragement, and assurance.  Listen for His voice in the darkness.  Don’t forget: God works the night shift too.

You may think you know the perfect outcome to a situation that is now in progress. You have imagined it. You have spent time daydreaming about it. You can provide a long list of reasons why your vision is the perfect resolution. However, Taurus, that very strict ideal you have set for yourself is quite limiting. It restricts you to only one outcome. Don't set your heart on a defined idea of what must be. There are many other possibilities, and one of them is absolutely, truly, amazingly perfect. Don't limit yourself.
