Places I Would Like To See Before I Die - The Enchanting Silence (2/8)

For a better understanding of this blog, please see the INTRODUCTION by clicking this!
The Enchanting Silence is composed of 8 places on earth where I can void my mind of all thoughts, just concentrating on feeling, seeing and hearing the immensity of nature in a single moment….. an ABSOLUTE BLISS! My heart, my mind, my spirit, and my soul are all in harmony…… feels like soaring to heaven!
The aurora borealis taken from the space.

Aurorae or Auroras, named after the Roman Goddess of Dawn can occur on either in Northern or Southern latitudes. In northern latitudes, it is called as the aurora borealis or the northern lights. While in the southern latitudes, it is known as aurora australis or southern lights.

These auroras illuminate the horizon in a variety of shapes: corona, whirlpool, curtain, bow, band, ruffles; and a range of colors from the most common greenish glow, to pinks, and to the rarer glows of reds, blues, etcetera. Accordingly, there are never two auroras with the same shape and color. An aurora, a fast moving colorful phenomenon can only last a short time of around 10 minutes.

The best places to see this marvelous phenomenon are in any locations around the Arctic Circle called the auroral zone. Alaska, Canada and Norway are among the best countries to go to experience the aurora. Recommended for best viewing are Norwegian counties of Tromso, Finnmark, and Lapland; Yellowknife in Canada; and Fairbanks in Alaska.

Best time of the year from mid-August to the end of September and from mid-November to mid-April.

After gazing mysteriously with my innocence at the aurora, where will I go next?

One way to do this is to attend Study Hall during lunch, before the next test. Another, powerful way is to make sure that they bring their COMPLETED NOTES to class on the day of the exam. To aid Students in completing their Notes, Mr. Hatfield makes them available on-line through this blog and gives a Study Guide for Students to complete to demonstrate that they have the Notes, and know what to do with them. Bring evidence that you have prepared for the test, students, and you will be rewarded!
