The Enchanting Silence is composed of 8 places on earth where I can void my mind of all thoughts, just concentrating on feeling, seeing and hearing the immensity of nature in a single moment….. an ABSOLUTE BLISS! My heart, my mind, my spirit, and my soul are all in harmony…… feels like soaring to heaven!

The snapping of prayer flags at Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu, Nepal

Boudhanath Stupa (or Bodnath Stupa) is one of the sacred and pilgrimage destinations among the Buddhists, and has become a popular tourists attraction. The largest stupa in Nepal, it is considered as the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. 

A serene morning at Boudhanath is greeted by the chanting of the Buddhist monks who begin their day with morning pajas. But even when their chanting had concluded, one can hear the resounding sounds of snapping of strings of prayers fluttered in the air.

The snapping of the prayer flags in the winds evokes the sound of peace and harmony, while carrying the prayers to heaven.  Seeing those flags dancing through the rhythm of the wind blowing them made me to think that if only people would act together to a common goal of goodness, then the world would be a better place to live.
